MIB? Go Big Black! WTF?
Do you get these black uniforms for the football team?
I wrote to Coach Teevens — a member of the award-winning Class of 1979 — and he shared his thoughts on uniform coloring:
Black uniforms: we are fortunate to have a variety of uniform combinations which include the colors green, white, gray and black. There has been a national trend toward multiple uniforms at the college level. Black is the number one choice of college athletes. To stay current with our competitors, we have incorporated black and gray options to be used as “change-up” looks during the course of the season.
I have received both positive and negative feedback from interested and concerned supporters. I appreciate the attention focused on the details of our players and program, and let me assure these interested parties that we are all playing for Dartmouth regardless of the color of our uniforms!
Addendum: A video summary of the Holy Cross game is online now. What a game:
Addendum: The team plays Penn tonight at 7pm in Philly. The game is on national television on NBCSN (NBC Sports Network).
Addednum: The Athletics Department complete summary and video of the Holy Cross game is here.
