Long Live Chairman Helman

Bill Helman IV ‘80 will become the new Chairman of the Board of Trustees after Commencement. He was chosen as a Charter Trustee in 2009, and he headed up the search committee that chose President Hanlon.

In 2011 he did a TEDx talk at the College. Take the measure of the man:

Bill is a busy fellow according to his Trustee bio:

Bill Helman ‘80 is a partner with Greylock, a venture capital firm focused on investments in technology, consumer internet, and health care. He joined Greylock in 1984 and has been a managing partner since 1997. He serves on the Board of the Ford Motor Company. In addition, he serves on the boards of Harvard Management Company, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, the Broad Institute, and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Let’s hope that he has some time to spend with faculty and students.
