No Injuries in Frisbee Team Accident
WCAX.com reports that members of the College’s Ultimate Frisbee team were in a car accident on Friday on the way to a tournament in Virginia. Nobody was injured:
VERNON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say eight Dartmouth College students escaped injury when the van they were in rolled over after hitting a patch of ice on Interstate 91 in the town of Vernon.
Police say rescue crews were called at about 7:15 a.m. Friday to an area about five miles north of the Massachusetts line.
Police say the van was carrying members of Dartmouth’s Ultimate Frisbee team, who were headed to a tournament in Virginia.
The van went off the left side of the road and hit an embankment. The van came to rest on its side.
All the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
No one was injured in the crash, but one passenger was taken to the hospital for what police describe as an “anxiety issue.”
