Women & Gender Studies 80 Petition
Professor of Geography/Women and Gender Studies Jennifer Fluri’s WGST 80 class (which earlier in the term hosted whistleblower Andrew Lohse) has written a petition against sexual assault that has already gathered 816 signatures. The document is long on rhetoric and short on real solutions, like specific, detailed ideas on how to reduce the monopolistic power of Dartmouth’s fraternities, but it is evidence of a growing desire for some change — any change — at the College.
Administration of Dartmouth College: Build feminist consciousness at the College in order to end the perpetration and normalization of sexual violence.
The Valley News had a lengthy story on the petition yesterday, and Max Hunter ‘13 criticized aspects of it in a column in The D.
