The D Is Almost Direct
In a Verbum Ultimum today entitled Destructive Distrust, the editors of The D come pretty close to calling Jim Kim a liar:
The mutual distrust between students and administrators has created a vicious cycle of animosity and misunderstanding. Overreliance on nebulous and private “data” proved to be a weakness of College President Jim Yong Kim’s tenure, and we implore the administration to release specific information regarding both the motivations for and the goals of these policies.
“Nebulous and private ‘data’” is the gentle way our student scribes have chosen to say that Kim cited “data” to support his positions that he refused to share with students because it did not exist. Methinks that the editors took more than a passing glance at this space’s recent post, Freshmen, There Will Be Lies.
