Norwich Diary: Summertime Swimming
When the going gets hot in Hanover, the hot go swimming, but not in the Connecticut, which by July becomes too warm to be refreshing. Our preferred option in years past was the Norwich Pool, but after Irene had her way with that lovely spot last October, our fallback option is this pleasant downstream swim hole. When temperatures go over 90°, a pre-prandial soak under the little waterfall and a cooling dip before bed are part of the good life in the Upper Valley.
