Teevens the Poet

In the wake of our o/t loss to Penn, in which the football team acquitted itself well, Coach Teevens showed himself to possess a silver tongue:

“I told our guys that we reload our rifles and bury our dead and get ready for next week.”

As of Sunday at noon, still no word from The D on how the game went.

Note: Penn Coach Al Bagnoli nonetheless bested our guy in the semantic gymnastics department: “You see the maturation of some of their kids. They’ve done a nice job schematically, and I think they’re going to cause some people some angst, no question.”

Angst?
