Hanover Inn: More Problems

Hanover Inn Agrees to Pay Catering Staff $29,000 in Back Wages
After state labor officials received a complaint that the Dartmouth College-owned Hanover Inn was underpaying employees, the inn agreed to pay almost $29,000 in additional compensation to members of its catering staff and a small fine for roughly 750 labor law violations, state records show.
We’ve written before about Dartmouth’s poor management of the Hanover Inn — an aperçu into how well the College as a whole is administered. This is not the first time that the state has found the Inn in violation of its labor laws. Not coincidentally, employees there unionized several years ago.
President Kim has his work cut out for him.
