Wright for Veterans
An honor indeed it is for President-emeritus Wright to speak this morning at the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. As noted in the D today, Wright certainly has a lot to be proud of and for which he deserves thanks. These things include his work with injured veterans towards their educational goals and his efforts to increase educational benefits in the 2008 G.I. Bill.
However, one blemish remains: why is it that Dartmouth never held an official Veteran’s Day ceremony during Wright’s tenure as President?
An interesting discrepancy to say the least. Hopefully President Kim will do a better job in this regard.
