Alright, Let’s See What He’s Got
I contemplated two approaches this morning. The first was to title this post something like “Ayers to Get Nod as Education Secretary” and start hammering away at Obama immediately. But he is president-elect after all and I think he does deserve more respect than that and, to be fair, at least a chance to try and govern. The approach I think we should all take, however fairly the same may have been applied to President Bush, would be to give Obama an honest and open-minded chance to prove himself.
With that said I propose that there be no conversation about the 2010 midterm elections for at least a full year, at least. I know somewhere, somepeople have to get started today but they don’t have to tell us about it. After the last elections in 2006 it seemed to me like the very next week people were already talking about 2008. I would like to preempt that same situation here.
