The Hanover Polling Place
I was just down at Hanover High School casting my ballot and spending a few minutes with the poll standers before having to go to work. The first thing that struck me was how all the Obama voters—those holding signs, wearing stickers, making comments, etc—were all very young or very old. Many more folks in the middle seemed to be for McCain. I don’t know exactly what to make of this, but one of the sign wavers commented of the older voters that he didn’t think it was right for them to vote to bankrupt our and future generations.
As expected, the polling place is buzzing with activity as, I would imagine, are school gymnasia around the country. The Hanover station closes at 7pm, and most other east coast voting at 8pm so we should starting hearing some results shortly thereafter.
