Professors’ Contagious Liberalism?
Right on the subject of my earlier post on Ivy League Political Donations, the New York Times ran an article yesterday on the degree of contagion of professors’ political views.
The article concludes, as does its title, that top-down liberal persuasion is not a prevalent phenomenon. But it is certainly the case, as an economist at George Mason University says, “A major tragedy is that [students are] not getting exposed to the good stuff,” citing the works of John Stuart Mill, Adam Smith, Friedrich Hayek and Milton Friedman.
