Democratization of Books
Google has cleared a major barrier to launching a project to put millions of books online. Copyright issues aside, what could be better than this kind of democratization of books and knowledge. I don’t think it will be long before more people have access to a computer than transportation to their local library—not to mention the fact that e-books are never checked out.
