Sun Sets
Today is the last day of the New York Sun. It was a golden newspaper: well written, devotedly read, genuinely curious about the world, and with a sense of adventure that does not, now, seem to exist in newsprint at all. I’ve known quite a number of Sun writers over the last few years, and it was difficult not to notice that the Sun attracted the best; it was elite without elitism; and it deserved to last.
Bravo to Seth Lipsky et al., who gave it a go.
