Ride On
With gas prices up, the bicycle delivery business is booming. At first glance it might seem like just a triviality, a tiny positive blip in a sea of industries hurt by higher gas prices. But I read it as one of hundreds, thousands, or perhaps more of the free market initiatives constantly being invented, updated, and implemented. The government did not have to suggest the rickshaw/ bike courier business. They aren’t subsidizing it or mandating it or regulating it. This is, no doubt, one of the reasons it is working, the others being the initiative of the American people and the incentive of the free market.
