Nielsen, give it to me, baby
The numbers are in. And nearly as many Americans tuned in to watch Sarah Palin, the young and not-too-experienced Republican candidate for Vice President as tuned in to watch the young and not-too-experienced Democratic candidate for President, Barack Obama.
37.2 million Americans watched Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech. Just 1.2 million more watched Barack Obama, who, Nielsen says, had the biggest television audience ever for a U.S. political convention speech. Sarah was “just shy,” reports Reuters.
It’s been genius, hasn’t it? At the moment, this election is Sarah Palin versus Barack Obama, with John McCain above dispute and Joe Biden below consideration.
