Pelosi, Obama on Abortion
Nancy Pelosi is catching a bit for some comments she made recently about abortion, and The Anchoress gives some excellent commentary here.
You may ask: “Why am I reading about abortion?” and the answer is that you are reading about abortion because it is going to be something approaching a crevasse in this election, owing not to John McCain’s longstanding position on the issue—but to Barack Obama’s rather radical one which, surpassing even the preferences of NARAL (the main pro-abortion lobby), endorses the “abortion” act as applied against people who have pretty assuredly been born. (That is to say, they are out and vital and wanting for aid.) This fresh creep of the abortion question will plant it on the field anew. Good news, I think.
