Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf strikes me as a superb choice, if an unconventional one, to give the keynote address at Dartmouth’s 238th annual Commencement Ceremony this June.

President Johnson-Sirleaf is a strong and bold leader committed to the principles of free expression and liberal democracy.

Would that the same could be said, in the context of Dartmouth, of James Wright and Ed Haldeman.
