“At this unique moment in our history,” Texas State Senator Kirk Watson writes prolixly, “Senator Obama is focused on possibilities, not politics.” The former Austin mayor is one of Mr. Obama’s major Texas backers, and a vocal apologist for the mysterium of Barack Obama and the Change We Can Believe In Church.
MSNBC journo Chris Matthews interviewed Mr. Watson last evening, asking what accomplishments of Mr. Obama’s swayed him into the Senator’s camp. The sight of Mr. Watson’s distended cheeks and vacant maw betrayed the ancient secret of the Obama campaign, which is that it does not go much deeper than “Ready to Go, Fired Up!”
