Exactly one week from today, the Dartmouth Board of Trustees is slated—after delaying itself twice and then losing a crucial decision in the New Hampshire Superior Court—to begin packing itself with eight new unelected Trustees. Usually Trustee appointments are not last-minute affairs; it seems rather odd, in fact, that just one week ere the date on which several new members are scheduled to join the Board, we have had no news whatever on the matter. One wonders what is the holdup.

One wonders whether all of these delays at least indicate that the Trustees and the administration know, but shall not confess, that what they are doing is wrong.
