Money Well Spent
There seem to be a lot of things that Dartmouth wastes money on. I won’t launch in to all of them but reports indicate that the hair in the library cost somewhere in the millions. Let’s leave it at that.
This afternoon, however, the DDS parent company sponsored a food-tasting in Food Court/ Pavilion. They were sampling foods from chicken wings to ravioli to burgers (with this delicious mango salsa) to all kinds of cheesecakes and desserts. All they asked was that students give them feedback on the better dishes, ostensibly so that DDS can provide those foods in coming terms. Kind of like a mini food experiment.
I don’t know what new stuff they are going to get for the dining halls but just the idea of giving out (pretty good) free food one afternoon was great. There may not be such thing as a free lunch but this was as close as we are going to get. In any event, spending our money on food for us is better than spending it on hair.
