« A Dissent on the Shakespeare Report | Home | Dartmouth Blazes a Trail »

That is what ABC News investigative reporter Brian Ross is hearing from readers after he reported on our obvious but unspoken efforts to destabalize Tehran. Now that those efforts are public, they will be retarded severalfold by a sustained public relations campaign by the Iranian government to show that American interference is causing problems in the country. Previously, our efforts were proving highly successful, since Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s regime was naturally weak and American efforts would merely have served to cast those weaknesses in a finer light.

The leaker of the operation—known only by the presidential finding that authorized it—is likely someone in the Senate or the House, since the the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence are shown all presidential findings related to covert intelligence activities.
