Special Feature: In Pursuit of a New President

Earlier, I wrongly identified the first unfortunate utterance of ‘ho’ as having been in some 1992 rap side. Readers, to whose genius I must bend, beg to correct. Steven Koch recalls Robert Townsend’s movie “Hollywood Shuffle” from 1987, wherein he remembers the line: “Ho’s gotta eat too.” Indeed.
And a Dartmouth ‘02 reminisces about a 1982 Saturday Night Live sketch in which Eddie Murphy plays Velvet Jones. Jones pitched a book called “I Wanna Be a Ho.” Brilliant.
So, ‘ho’ has a storied history that will not soon be undone by the dalliances of Imus in the Morning.
UPDATE: Indeed, Imus will be undone by ‘ho’! He’s now fired.
