Four Dartmouth student animations were submitted to the Sundeis Film Festival run out of Brandeis University. Three of the four films, “Reality” by Carmen Kilpatrick ‘09, “Icarus” by Sonia Lei ‘08, and “Deus ex Plume” by Adam Belanich ‘08, were nominated for the animation award and were screened twice at the festival this past weekend.

Sunday night, at the Sundeis Award Ceremony, presided over by Oscar winner Patricia Neal and Oscar nominee Roy Scheider, Adam Belanich’s “Deus ex Plume” was given the awards for Best Animation and Best Music. The music was composed specially for the film by Charlie DeTar, in Dartmouth’s electro-acoustic music program.
