The new problem in China? (New problems keep coming up when you try to quilt social fabric into something it is not.) Since abortion is permitted in China, girl babies are being aborted in great numbers, while boys are almost always allowed to be born. The result in 2005 was a birth ratio of 118 boys for every 100 girls.
