« “My unborn child makes some whites uncomfortable.” | Home | A Question of Relevance »

I find it too nauseating to contemplate the suggestion that the American public doesn’t have the stomach for war anymore. Partly, this is because I don’t think Arabic, indeed most Semitic tongues, are very pretty at all, and I don’t want to be forced to speak any of them. (I imagine that, secretly, somewhere near the top of Churchill’s motivations was the preservation of English.) I moreover do not fancy the sort of headgear that Sharia would demand I wear. So when folks make convincing arguments that, as a fat ‘n rich people, we are no longer able to battle against those lean, young, and impassioned enemies which are legion and which stand in unison against us, I get a little worried.

But then someone suggests that perhaps the cause of all this war strife is the rational exasperation that results when people realize that idiots like Moqtada are still extant. And maybe that’s true.
