« North Dakota Governor John Hoeven ‘79 Responds | Home | Anti Wal*Martists in San Diego »

Responding to my brief notice yesterday about Dartmouth’s Christmas Tree (which is, in fact, called a Christmas Tree) a reader points me to this advertisement which appeared in yesterday’s New York Times—an urging by the Catholic League to reject “cultural fascists” and celebrate Christmas as the religious holiday it is. She, our correspondent, thinks it went overboard, and in places perhaps it does. I did find it refreshing, though, to hear the League make its points from a pro-diversity perspective. Because, after all, I would imagine that the ranks of the Catholic League are more diverse than those of the interest groups opposing Christmas Trees in court.
