David Zucker is the director of absurdist comedies like “Airplane!” and “Naked Gun.” He is also a recently converted Republican. Having recently seen Madeleine Albright trumpet with silver tongue the goodness of Kim Jong-il—this was at Dartmouth a year and a half ago, before the dourest nuclear worries—I think that Zucker, in mocking Albright’s geopolitical thinking, is spot-on.
