« “NBC PLANS MADONNA CRUCIFIXION IN TV CONCERT!” | Home | Give to a Good Cause »

Another blogger picks up on the constitution battle at Dartmouth. “Bird Dog” presents the fight from a political angle (right versus left), which is one I have found generally inapt for the narrow question of the constitution. But it is a valid angle nonetheless, especially since a few of the drafters of the constitution, notable John Daukas, have played up their conservative credentials in order to win votes. To wit, Mr. Daukas recently wrote in a mass e-mail to conservative alumni: “I wrote for the Dartmouth Review as an undergraduate, organized a group of fraternity alumni officers…am a member of the reform group Dartmouth Alumni for Open Governance, and have a “Dartmouth Indians” sticker on my bumper.”

All as mere preface to asking for a vote for the constitution. One wonders what, in the wide world, an Indian bumper sticker has to do with either supporting or opposing the constitution.
