Andrew is one of the students quoted in this article in the student newspaper, The Dartmouth, as having had his politicking called into question by administrators. I sent a quick note to Andew asking if he felt in any way threatened by his meeting. He authorized me to print the following:

I did get that impression. While Ms. Racca isn’t in charge of hiring, as she pointed out in the article, she is in a position of authority over those who are.

During our meeting she specifically asked if my work on the site affected my ability to do my job and expressed concern that my opinions would keep me from remaining neutral when soliciting alumni donations. I agree with her that if my opinions affected my performance I should be let go, but my record and performance at that job indicated clearly that this [was] not the case to anyone who cared to look; thus, I saw the [meeting] itself as intimidation at worst, and at best undue and politically-motivated pressure.
