The New York Transit Workers Union’s strike continued today. (Mark me down: 20 blocks downtown & 4 blocks crosstown in 29 minutes.) Early this morning, the internet discovered “Transit Worker”, the Blogspot blog run by the TWU. It listed strike demonstration locations and reprinted strike-related articles from the New York Times, which was virtually the only media outlet in the city that cast the illegal job action in a positive light. The blog also, to the sorrow of union elites, allowed comments. By mid-day, there were 733 missives from irate New Yorkers. Some were blue. Many made incredibly powerful points. As Glenn Reynolds notes, the powers-that-be noticed this small imbroglio and disabled comments.

For your reading pleasure, here is the comments page once again.

UPDATE: It was inevitable. Someone e-mails in pictures of tired MTA employees. That’s perhaps a bit unfair, but the photos are amusing nonetheless.
