Football Flap Continues…
The ‘lil controversy here at Dartmouth about the admissions department’s stance on our football program continues to grow. Yale’s football coach, Jack Siedlecki, is also condemning Dean Furstenberg’s comments, if perhaps only for competitive reasons. The Yale Daily News quotes him:
“As a parent, it would certainly make me question sending my son or daughter to Dartmouth to be a student athlete,” Siedlecki said. “This is one man’s opinion, but he happens to be the ultimate decision-maker on admission at Dartmouth. He claims it has not affected his decisions on admitting athletes.”Yale had a losing season but still came out 3 spots above Dartmouth.
