Another Gem of an E-mail

Andrew Terhune writes in response to t-shirt racism at Dartmouth:

My alma matter, Trinity College in Hartford, has been going through similar paroxysms on this subject. Speaking as one who left the ivory tower over a quarter century ago, it seems that Northeastern liberal arts colleges are today hotbeds of racism compared to the world outside or even to the same school when I attended. From reading the Trinity Reporter, I surmise that there is more racism on that small campus of 2000 than in all of Philadelphia, the city where I now reside.

I wonder if there is any college in the Northeast not visited by this plague? Why do racists persist in attending these schools?
My, but it is a strange thing, isn’t it?
