American Evacuation Update Re: Lebanon
Many other countries have already pulled their citizens out of Lebanon, but the United States, not panicking, has been slower to do so. Now, plans are in place:
A commercial ship escorted by a U.S. destroyer will start evacuating some Americans from Lebanon Tuesday and more military helicopters will be used to fly others direct to Cyprus, a U.S. official said. Israel appeared to be allowing evacuation ships through its blockade of the country.The news comes from the Wall Street Journal’s rapid update page.
