Oh, Michelle

I understand the patriotic passions stirred by the immigration debate; truly I do. But it unfortunately appears to be the case that some writers on the right have, in response to the president’s moderate stance, alit from sense and begun trafficking in regular inanity. I do not imagine, for example, that Michelle Malkin would try to defend her latest post, “Crimes American’s Didn’t Do”, very far. In it, she reprints a wire article about an illegal alien—a Guatemalan with an expired visa—who killed someone and is going to prison for life.

“I would do anything to change what happened,” Douglas Herrera Castellanos said at his sentencing. “Forgive me.” To which Michelle adds:

“Forgive me.”

Well, that’s exactly what Bush and the bipartisan open-borders water-carriers in Washington would have done if this “undocumented worker” hadn’t been caught.
