Et Pour Ce Soir…

Pianist Alexei Grynyuk has a recital at the Metropolitan Museum. He will play Rachmaninoff and Chopin. As usual, will report!

REPORT: Alexei warmed into the performance just as he will likely warm into his career. Although his playing was stiff at first, his newly found abandon was encouraged by a sympathetic audience and a perfectly tuned Steinway. His Rachmaninoff was technically sound, but cautious. But after the intermission, his Chopin could be felt.
