Protest/Counterprotest Photoblogging
By many accounts the march on Washington was a failure. From legion and diverse camera angles on C-SPAN my friends estimated no more than a couple thousand. The march in San Francisco—which provided the wire photo the Associated Press has chosen to run along with its ‘March on Washington’ story—seems to have been bigger. But there you’ve San Francisco.
Bloggers have been reporting on the Washington protests from another angle.
I’ve already linked to him once, but the Cop from D.C. has a photoessay of an inspiring pro-victory rally. (It had much prettier girls, too.)
Baldilocks provides photos of the small Los Angeles protests. You’ll learn that ‘Bush Hates Brown People!’
Narley.org shows the more explicit side of the D.C. protests.
Chris Christner reveals that George Bush is a ‘Messiah Pariah.’
EU Rota snaps some shots: “These guys were there for the chicks and the pizza. Slim pickings on both accounts.”
Michelle Malkin, who is a highly visable character on the right but with a protestor-safe patina of multiculturalism, went undercover for some photoblogging.
Kris the Libertarian notes that the Communists were out in force. Mais oui.
Davids Medienkritik captures perhaps the strangest of the bunch.
The Bitch Girls went… and there are more cute pro-victory girls at Stupid Random Thoughts.
And then there is Cindy Sheehan herself. Ian Schwartz has the video of her Emmy-like speech.
