Dick Durbin’s Apology
I viewed the video here, and I thought it was sincere, appropriately brief, and that it deserves to be accepted, even as criticism of the Democrats (whose substance has not changed with this mea culpa) continues. I do not, however, know why the Senator apologized only to “those who were offended.” That seems to be a common line in political apologies. Durbin ought to have repented in general, not only to those who requested the apology.
